I'm so excited that I just had to drop you a letter and let you know how absolutely incredible business has been for us. It's just been a month since Tony delivered our equipment and already we have 19 contracts signed and booked into our backlog, and 49 lead sheets for people who want us to contact them in a couple months! We just had a booth at the Santa Clarita Business Expo over the weekend and we signed 11 contracts and 29 lead sheets.
I never imagined how easy it was going to be to sell these videos. What I found is that a Family Tree Video is so beautiful and unique that many people are sold just by simply watching a sample video for a few minutes. The best part about this business is that I'm able to bring so much happiness into people's lives. I have had customers start to cry when I just explain to them how their video is going to look! It's incredible how a Family Tree Video can unite a family and make them so thankful for what they have. It's a great reminder as to what is really important in our lives. It's not the new car, or the luxurious vacation, it's our family and friends. To be able to bless so many families with this gift and make a living at is a dream come true.

I wanted to write and tell you how my business is going. When I first talked to you, I knew this was something I really wanted to do. And then when it really happened, I couldn't believe it.
I think the best part was the fact that in the price of this business came the training on the equipment and training for how to market it. But most of all that I can call anytime and get answers to the questions that I have. At first the marketing part of it was hard for me because I didn't think I could do it. After not working for 14 years it seemed difficult to do the selling part. But what I realized in doing it, was that it was going to be the difference between my success and just having an expensive hobby.
I've been in business for about 3 months now and since I started, I have always had a video to do. I am making more money at this point than I thought I would. This business is probably one of the most rewarding jobs anyone could have. I am being paid to do something that is good for everyone.
I haven't had to use the marketing part yet because word of mouth has proven to be very effective so far. But just knowing that when the time comes, I will know what to do, has really helped me.

Our mountain / foothills communities require a little different marketing strategy then the typical suburban community, so our initial introduction has been a departure from the norm.
We are announcing our presence through the community publications, inviting our locals to monthly seminars to see our program. Our first seminar was quite successful and brought us enough business to make it worthwhile. It was attended by local business people including the editor of one of our community newspapers.

Carol and I have been running our Family Tree Video business for almost six months . I can't believe how fast the time has gone. We were very busy before Christmas trying to complete our customers orders for Christmas presents. Our biggest order was a 50th wedding anniversary video we did for a couple . They had quite a few 8mm movies and wanted copies of everything for their 4 children. It ended up being $2000.00 order and they were thrilled with it.
The neat thing is that every one of our customers have been really thrilled with their Family Tree Video and that makes it easier for us to sell the next one.
